Shenzhen-based robot enterprise SAM has released its 2021 export performance report. The total export volume for the whole year reached 40 million US dollars, with a year-on-year growth of 45%, a growth rate far exceeding the industry average.
Data shows that the export volume of its core product, SCARA robots, accounted for over 70%, which were mainly sold to markets such as the United States and Germany. The penetration rate of these robots in 3C electronics and lithium battery equipment production lines has increased significantly. Benefiting from the growing overseas demand for automation and the breakthrough in the localization of core components, the number of SAM's export orders last year increased by 52% year-on-year. Among them, models with a load capacity of less than 10kg accounted for 65% of the orders due to their adaptability to the needs of flexible manufacturing. Industry insiders pointed out that this confirms the improvement of the global competitiveness of domestic robots.
